THE ANGEL TOPCLIFFE 6PM – 9PM REFRESHEMENTS PROVIDED
As part of our ongoing work with farmers and the rural community Vicky Anderson has gathered together a small group of local farmers to be part of a discussion so that we all can be part of the wider experience and make valued and knowledgeable choices for the future.
You are invited to the evening which will be run as a free event financed by Vicky Anderson Ltd.
Some of the topics we will be covering include: –
- Taking control of your stewardship and environmental land management.
- Tenancy Transfers – the good the bad and the ugly.
- Our young are our future – why do we think that?
- Gifting your assets when is the right time.
Vicky will be discussing with three local farmers who have experienced some of the above and allowing the audience to ask questions or just listen to what happened in their experience.
The farmers include: –
- A young farmer in his 20s who will be possibly moving into the partnership and/or succeeding father at some point in the future and who has been instrumental in assisting with their stewardship agreement
- A tenant farmer who in in the process of transferring the tenancy from his father and has completely swung the business from small profit to large profit and included diversification and other regenerative practices.
- An arable farmer who is an owner occupier who has given a large amount of control to his younger generation already but also includes working to make a profit and includes small diversification projects.
There will also be two speakers on the night: –
- Heather Wildman – whose main interest is succession planning in the rural community
Clemence Fabien – Clem is a life coach who specialises in assisting small rural businesses
